Covid strikes (at last)!

After two vaccinations and one booster jab I have finally succumbed to Covid.

I’ve been in Cheltenham since Sunday so it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where I might have caught it.

We ate out every night so it could have been one of several restaurants. Or the cinema perhaps.

Apart from that we spent much of the time outside or at our rented house, 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of town.

Funny thing is I only tested positive this morning when I was actually feeling a bit better.

I’ve got a cough, a slightly tight chest and I’m feeling a bit tired but nothing like yesterday morning when I thought I might be having a pulmonary embolism.

PE symptoms include ‘chest pain that may become worse when breathing in’ but in my case it was a chest pain that became significantly worse when coughing.

As luck would have it we were due to come home yesterday anyway so it didn’t affect our pre-Platinum Jubilee break and the good news is I can now enjoy a long weekend of rest and recuperation.

Sadly I’ll have to give the street parties a miss though.
