More on e-cigarettes

Last week I asked 'Will e-cigarettes take centre stage in 2013?'.

I then referred to articles in the Daily Mail, Financial Times and Daily Express.

Since then more pieces have appeared on the subject. They include an excellent article by Lionel Shriver in the Guardian (E-cigarettes: no smoke without ire), which Forest tweeted here.

According to Wikipedia a cigarette is a "small cylinder of finely cut tobacco leaves rolled in thin paper for smoking". Apparently 'cigarette' is French for "small cigar" and 'cigar' comes, through the Spanish and Portuguese cigarro, from the Mayan siyar, "to smoke rolled tobacco leaves".

A small point, but if a product contains "no smoke, nicotine, tobacco or tar" how can it call itself a cigarette, electronic or otherwise?

5 colors are bad news for ecigs. They contain no nicotine and so are just toy cigarettes and the anti ecig industry will suggest they encourage children to smoke. There is no reason they can't be sold to children.

I have read an article which also talks about electronic cigarettes and its benefits. Try to have time to read about it here: http://vincefred123.wordpress.com/2013/01/10/is-smoking-good/

I have to admit with dozens of sellers in the UK and hundreds, if not thousands worldwide, it's interesting that there are several articles about that one specific brand.
