Greetings from Ireland

Currently in Dublin.

Very enjoyable dinner last night at Eden Bar and Grill in South William Street (aka William Street South).

Vibrant area with lots of bars and restaurants, many with covered outdoor areas.

I would normally add 'warmly recommended' at this stage but the weather here is dank and overcast. Not the best time to be sitting outside.

Update: Just arrived at Heuston station. In a few minutes I will board a train to Cork. For the next three hours I shall sit back, read the newspapers, do a little bit of work, and watch the Irish countryside roll by.

Update: Today's Irish Daily Star leads with this front page headline, 'GAA player's privates "torn open" in match'. Ouch.

The Irish Independent has more on this gruesome story: GAA player suffered horror injury during game, court told.
