Sunday morning

Friends are coming for lunch today.

I say this as if it happens all the time. It doesn’t.

It’s a special occasion so we are going to one of our favourite restaurants, mjp@theshepherds in Fen Ditton near Cambridge.

But first I shall spend the morning reading Odd Boy Out, Gyles Brandreth’s latest memoir (if you include his diaries).

And this evening, post lunch and a late afternoon nap, we will watch the third and final episode of Murder In Provence with Roger Allam.
