Old kids on the block unite for one performance only

This looks fun.

Next month, for one performance only, ageing off-their-rockers Simon Chapman, Deborah Arnott, Martin McKee, Anna Gilmore and Gabriel Scally will perform their long-awaited concept album, 'Winning the end-game against tobacco'.

Hosted by the Royal College of Medicine, this special event takes place on Friday 16 September.

Early booking advised. Full details here.

Can't believe an event like that is so cheap.

Used to paying much more for proper work.

They certainly are scraping the barrel.

The 'end game' on tobacco is going to have zero effect on lung cancer rates as we already know decades of tobacco control have not prevented a single lung cancer death.
These people are just a waste of time and money.

"The participants will learn of the contribution that can be make by smoking cessation services, the contribution, if any, that e-cigarettes might make and the strategic steps needed to make tobacco-free countries a reality."

"If any" meaning they'll look at how to weaponise ecigs against smokers and then tackle the vaping "problem" later in hope to morph it into one of their Pharma funders' inhalators via the same use of social engineering and scaremongering. Divide and conquer is step one towards this aim.

As for smokers, now they've slandered us and reduced our reputations to that of cockroaches, it's now all about criminalisation with public consent. This is already being done by pushing smokers towards the black market, creating laws that push them into illegality and it won't be long before they reach their wet dream of seeing people prosecuted for possession of tobacco. Criminalisation of consumer and industry is seen as "the next logical step."

They will outlaw the product in a recreational sense while exploiting it without competition in a pharmaceutical one. If they allow vaping to exist in their warped future of a world without smokers, it will be as a quit aid and nothing more.
