Absolutely fabulous
Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 13:07
I wasn't planning to watch the forthcoming Absolutely Fabulous movie.
Not in the cinema anyway.
The first TV series, in 1992, was genuinely funny and original but it's been downhill ever since.
This hilariously indignant post on the Smokefree Movies website – brought to my attention by Chris Snowdon who tweeted the link – has changed my mind.

I remember the first year or two after the smoking ban when Kate Moss walked the catwalk with a cig in her hand to honour International Women's day and the right of women to choose how to live their own lives.
Cue Kirsty Allsop with an attack on a women because she is a smoker. In her infantile way, she stamped her feet in a tantrum and cried : "It's not big and its not clever." (boo-hoo)
BTW, how did you get on with persuading Kirsty to work with smokers on a Keep Britain Tidy Campaign?
