Bafta award-winning film producer to speak at The Freedom Dinner

Delighted to announce that guest speaker at The Freedom Dinner next month is Bafta award-winning film producer Stephen Evans.

Described, somewhat erroneously perhaps, as 'The man who made Kenneth Branagh', Evans gave up a lucrative career in the City to make films.

Working with Branagh he enjoyed almost immediate success as the producer of Henry V, Peter's Friends and Much Ado About Nothing.

After that he produced the Oscar-winning Madness of King George followed by Twelfth Night, The Wings of a Dove and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind among others.

More recently his CV includes First Night and Seve, a 2014 biopic about Seve Ballasteros.

He's currently working on a film about George Best.

Evans lists wine and cigars as his guilty pleasures "although I rarely feel guilty at Boisdale [home of The Freedom Dinner] - it's good to be around like-minded individuals!"

There will be no shortage of like-minded individuals at The Freedom Dinner on July 7 so book your place now if you haven't already done so.

Tickets cost £99 per person or £900 for a table of ten. For that you get cocktails on the smoking terrace overlooking the fountains at Cabot Square; a three-course dinner with wine in the main restaurant; plus live music and after dinner speeches.
