I know I’ve mentioned this before, Simon, but I do hope that your new campaign group doesn’t turn out to be at the expense of your old one. It would be sad if a whole bunch of anti-smokers (but pro their own chosen vices - booze and sugar etc), were enabled to use the new campaign to spout their bile and insult your (original!) smoker-members. Will you be keeping an eye on things to make sure that this new campaign doesn’t just become (yet another) platform for anti-smokers to have a go at smokers? Because I think a lot of them would regard that as a bit of a coup, quite frankly. We get enough harassment elsewhere and, to be honest, Forest is the oldest and best-known smoker-friendly organisation and there’d be pretty much no-one left to speak up on our behalf if your own good attentions were redirected to a group of people who simply aren't (admittedly, yet!) in the dire straits that smokers are in. We were here first, don’t forget! I may be a bit paranoid about this, true, but given the amount of abuse, persecution and downright unfair bias that we smokers face pretty much everywhere else, that's perhaps understandable.
