Freedom drinks and dinner at Boisdale of Canary Wharf
July 1st 2012 is the fifth anniversary of the smoking ban in England.
To mark the occasion - and demonstrate our continued opposition to both the ban and subsequent anti-tobacco measures including the display ban, plain packaging and threats to ban smoking in cars and outdoor areas - Forest will be organising a number of events.
The most ambitious is a very special evening at Boisdale of Canary Wharf on Tuesday June 26. For one night only we will have exclusive use of this fabulous bar restaurant which features a large smoking terrace overlooking the fountains of Cabot Square.
The event - the sequel to our Revolt In Style dinner at The Savoy in 2007 - will include a drinks reception on the terrace followed by dinner in the main restaurant.
There will be after dinner speakers plus live music on the main stage. Guests will include MPs, journalist and broadcasters - and we hope you will be there too. Full details – including a ticket application form - will be sent to registered supporters shortly.
I appreciate that not everyone will be able to afford to attend this event so we are also organising a FREE event in London to mark the anniversary. Again, we will be inviting MPs, journalists etc so it will be a good opportunity to make your views known. Watch this space.
