God's gift

Last Sunday I drove to Luton to watch my son play rugby for his club.

It wasn't much of a game because his team won by over 100 points.

After the match he got in the car and said, "Dad, I know this sounds cocky, but I was by far the best player, don't you think?"

On Wednesday, playing for his school team, he broke his hand in two places following a "collision". It is now in plaster for six weeks and he won't play again before Christmas.

If there is a God He must have enjoyed that little joke.

What! You mean you were allowed to watch your son playing rugby? I take it, then, that you have subjected yourself to a full CRB check?
