Looking forward to seeing The Ladykillers at the Gielgud Theatre in London this evening.

It features Ben Miller (Armstrong and Miller) and Peter Capaldi (Malcolm Tucker, The Thick Of It).

Good family entertainment!

It does look good Simon, I hope (by now) that you enjoyed it!

That same evening (Friday) I went to see Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre - it is a fantastic show with non stop great music. One of the many highlights for me however, was the cast constantly smoking on stage.

My wife wondered if they were using those e-cigarettes, but they certainly wasn't, as we were sitting in the 2nd row from the front and not only could I smell the lovely aroma of tobacco, but I also saw faint glowing embers falling in the spotlights - Fantastic!

I never heard anyone complaining - I didn't see anyone keeling over either, and there were no calls for "is there a doctor in the house?" as members of the audience choked on the fug created by the cast members.

Could this be the start of an easing up by Nanny?
