Dan Donovan – musician, photographer, graphic designer and a great friend of Forest – has a new album out.

Recorded in his garden shed (aka The Moose Shack) and produced by Gavin Monaghan (The Editors, Robert Plant, Ocean Colour Scene), Bat Beats embraces 'Seventies glam rock sonics, Krautrock beats and desert rock ambience' to create Dan's distinctive 'garage-rock fuelled sound'.

"Holed up for a year as the world locked down, keeping a clear head felt beyond reach," he writes. "Looking for that positive twist, digging deep for a spark, writing these new songs was my therapy."

The album, which was released on Friday, features eleven tracks including ‘Chicken Dance’ (below).

"Crazy times, irrational behaviour, unbelievable twists and turns created confusion and fear. The Covid phenomenon turned the human race into headless chickens," says Dan.
