I hope you will join our online discussion about tobacco control on Wednesday March 10 (No Smoking Day).

We will be joined by a panel of speakers including Mark Oates, director of WeVape and the Snus Users’ Association; Andrew Allison, campaigns director, The Freedom Association; tobacco investment analyst Rae Maile; and smoker Liz Barber. I may say a few words too.

Chaired by writer and journalist Rob Lyons (former deputy editor of Spiked) we'll be asking: Is ‘smoke free’ desirable let alone achievable? Can ‘smoke free’ be achieved without coercion? Is the best option not to smoke or vape? What if smokers don’t want to quit?

Also, now that the United Kingdom is no longer bound by the EU’s Tobacco Products Directive, how might this change the tobacco control landscape in the UK?

The most important stakeholder is of course the consumer so do please join the conversation. To register click here.
