Alex Cunningham’s Smoke-free Private Vehicles Bill lives to fight another day, just.

The Second Reading of the Bill, which would ban smoking in all private vehicles carrying children, was scheduled for today but at number six on the list of private member's bills time ran out.

The Bill has been given a new date (March 1) but with 48 bills on the list it's unlikely to progress any further.

Don't expect Cunningham to give up any time soon. Yesterday he told his local newspaper:

Smoking ban in cars still on the agenda, says Stockton North MP.
